[/quCurrently I do not have any chickens. I have had in the past. Mainly Bantams and Silkies. As a child my parents had pheasants, peafowl, pigeons, quail, ducks and chickens. I am contemplating emus or ostriches but do not know a lot about them. I want my kids to have weird pets like I had. Lol

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about Emus or Ostriches (I've never had anything close to those), but definitely post on our Ostrich, Emu, and Rhea section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/49/ostriches-emu-rheas and take advantage of our experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
