I am a happy farmer with 23 chickens. My whole flock has Marek's disease so I spend a lot of time monitoring them for progression of symptoms. I only have one now that shows neuro signs and I help her walk to the water or food on days that she runs out of energy. I bought 3 chicks from a woman in Maryland and they had the disease. So I enjoy everyone else's chick stories until my entire flock passes, however long that takes. I thoroughly enjoy feeding them by hand and having them follow me all around the farm.

Shalom. Some birds do survive Mareks though they will be carriers for life. Mareks is everywhere. You may want to browse the many "Mareks" articles on BYC for the experiences and advice on getting new birds later on in re: vaccinated chicks, etc. Hope your birds will have the best possible outcome.
