Yep Driver, I'll get to that in a minute. I've been kicking the idea around of getting chickens for a while. I might make that plunge in the spring. I recently attended the ILL-MO Bantam Club show and got to see several breeds.
I'm thinking about 6-8 chickens. I have a dog pen that is about 8x16. I need to measure it to confirm. I've been lurking on here for a while looking at coop designs. I'm not a carpenter but I can read plans and assemble things.
As far as the chickens go, I was thinking about a mix. One or two large and the rest bantams. I'd like to have a silkie and maybe a EE. They would more egg / pets not for meat.
The Bantam driver part comes in because I drag race a car that has a fiberglass body that is very loosely based on the 1932 American Austin Bantam.
