I also have a 4 year old been married almost 19 years ..40 years old.. umm all of my 19 chickens are rescues..as well as 2 goats..4 dogs and 1 parrot... I have found that this site is the most helpful with people willing to answer my dumb questions ..I am so happy to have found this. Oh I also am a budding photographer with a specialty in pet photos

Welcome to BYC Kelly! One thing I have learned, no question is dumb. Assuming you know everything is dumb.[IMG]
There's a lot of good eggs in this community.[IMG] my family doesn't see what fun having chickens are. They just see all the work! They don't know about the times my day just really sucked, and my girls in a completely random moment, make me so happy.[IMG]
The people on here, they get that. You don't have to justify anything, they just get it.
So glad you joined! Welcome to the family![IMG]

Welcome to BYC, Kelly! Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a great experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loves our chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?

Amen to that! The noise of the day just fades away under the scrap of the shovel. Of course, my girls have to supervise to make sure I get it all![IMG]
