We are awaiting the arrival of our day-old chicks in 2 weeks. 3 dominiques and 1 turken. We will be building a coop using as much recycled material as possible. Our chickens will live in our tiny back yard that backs up to neighborhood "greenspace" and a powerline easement. The back is very private, and the neighbors have been informed and seem to be enthusiastic. We hope to fly under the county radar, so fingers crossed! Now I am only thinking I should have ordered a couple more chickens!!
