Hello, new member from northern AZ. I’ve been a long time lurker here and decided to finally register. We currently have 6 hens (Rhode Island Red, Plymouth Rock, Orpingtons) and 2 roosters (Leghorns) that share their space with a Nubian and a Pygmy goat. We have slowly been building out for a hobby farm. Our daughters will be doing hogs for 4H this year so we will be adding a few of them to the mix as well as a potential some sheep. I grew up on a cattle farm so the lifestyle is not new to me, but chickens were never something I paid much attention to even though we had them so I am here to learn a bit more.

AZCabinlife, welcome home to BYC. I love the wide open space in your picture. I think if I am able to retire I would like to have a piece of land big enough that I could not walk across it in 30 minutes. Enjoy your new flock and farm animals. keep us posted on how everything is going and pics would be awesome!
