Hello! First time as a member here, though I've been on here plenty times before, still trying to get the hang of this :). I have 4 chickens, 2 barred rock and 2 light Brahma, 3 of which I'm positive are hens, not quite sure about the other (3 are laying). They're about 8 months old. Here's some pictures!

I love your chickens. Beautiful. Great looking coop. Welcome. I am new here too and have found it very informational. The people here are amazing.

G’Day from down under athena’s chickens :frow Welcome!

Great pics! Thank you for sharing :clap

If you post some pictures of your 'unknown' on the Breed or Gender Forum, members will give you their opinions on gender.

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I note you mention you are from the Californian Coast, but if you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
