Hello From Crawfordsville Indiana!

Again hello. I am a mother of 4 ikids, a stay at home mom at that. Been here in Crawfordsville for 4 years and counting. I am wanting to have chickens but for the life of me cant find the ordinance for chicken ownership with in city limits here. I have been tearing up the internet. I see from a thread on here you can have them in Indianapois, but all cities play different. Can any one please tell me what you know, how many (if we even can) fee, housing requirments etc.. Thanks!

We are allowed to have them and very few guidlines, as long as they are quiet, and taken care of, and no stinch coming from my yard (but I have a need to always clean so we are ok there!) I have had some chickens (who I call "my ladies") for about 3 weeks now and got a new one that looks just like Happy Feet yesterday lol, I read that we can have them per some guidelines etc, but then when I went to tripple check the facts I couldnt find any info, I realized I needed to tripple check when I brought Midnight home yesterday (my Happy Feet replica) then I got some info from a local lady who has 4H chickens, and is in city limits, and she was able to help me out. I will share pictures of my ladies later today, and thanks for all the welcomes!

Oh Yes, I have Midnight (shes black w/ very little white) Brownie (all brown) Shilo (gray head, white body), Snuggles (gray and white body), and Gertrude (all white), the names suit them well personality and look wise. As for the breed I am not sure, I got them from a store here who carries them localy once a year, and it didnt matter to me who or what, as long as hey fit in our family, and that they do.

Hello. I live in New Market just outside of Crawfordsville and I have chickens that my daughter and I raise. The problem is that the police arrived today and said I had to get rid of them because of the town ordinance. I have put a lot of effort and money into this an my daughter would be heartbroken if we lost them. Is there anything I can do!?! Somebody please help
