New to raising chickens. Neighbor is military and left the country and I took his (3) layers. The fresh eggs are great tasting and fun for my kids to collect. (2) plymoth rocks and (1) Buff. Long story short ended up getting (3) RI Reds, (3) eastereggers, (3) more buffs and (1) more P rock. These are now 10 weeks old and get along with the adult hens very nicely.
Wife and kids think I'm nuts but i enjoy them
