    Hi. I have 2 chickens. Still waiting for eggs, but I also have had a little surprise. My EE started crowing. Lol

    Well, then one of them will not be laying eggs. Are you sure the other is a pullet? Welcome to BYC.

    Yes I'm sure the other one is a pullet. She nests alot.

    What a surprise[​IMG] If you keep him - a rooster can handle 10 hens. With just one he will overbreed her severely, unless you add many more hens, or rehome HIM

    I know. I want to keep him so bad. I picked that one out for myself when they were 1 week old. So far just light crowing when he wants attention. Like you said though I will have to get more hens.
