I am a new owner of 3 Americauna pullets. Received them as a Christmas gift and don't really know how old they are. Is there a way to know just by size and characteristics? They are so funny and I am enjoying watching them. I have a coop and a run for them. I will be posting on some of the forums as I am so impressed with the knowledge and suggestions on here!

Welcome to BYC! It's hard to tell what age they are. Maybe when they start laying? I'm not sure. Good luck!

Welcome to BYC. If you post a picture some one will give a guess as to the age of your birds.

Warm to welcome BYC from Ohio! Difficult to tell age in chickens. Usually comb size and fullness of feathers is a good indication.

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. They usually start laying at 23-26 wks. Without a pic, that is the only indication I can offer. :thumbsup
