Hello everybody, my name is Jessica and I am new to this site as well as chicken raising. I'm also hoping to start traipsing ducks! I look forward to the information everybody has to offer.

I have an Americana rooster and 5 Americana hens. I have 3 other hens that I got at the same time but I'm not sure what breed they are.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. My daughter's name is Jessica too. If you want your three unknown breeds identified, just post some pics of them and we will be happy to take a look at them. Also, your Ameraucanas are probably not true Ameraucanas, but Easter Eggers (a certainty if they came from a hatchery, feed store, farm supply, or tractor supply store, or if the name was spelled Americana). If you would like to know for sure, just post a pic of them as well. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
