Hello All
My wife and I got some chicks this year on May 23rd and May 28th. We have somewhere around 50 between the two batches. We also have 8 turkeys and 9 ducks (4 cull ducks and 5 large mallards?). Our daughter who is 11 has really taken to the chicks and "farming" and it has been a great thing for her and I. Since she has the chicks, it has forced me into fixing our barn up (it's 110 years old). It has been a great deal of fun to work in the barn with my daughter and it has been very good to teach her responsibility. Our plan is to eat the ducks, turkeys and some of the roosters, but currently, we are having a hard time figuring out which is which. This site seems to be a great resource for all things chicken!
