Howdy! My name is Adrianne. I am using "ahollie". I am so excited about BYC! I got my first eggs to incubate back in April and never looked back! I had 14 chicks, as they grew, 2 died of heat - it's been a hot summer here - and after suffering a neighborhood dog attack another one died. So I currently have 11 but I think my 2 suspected roos have to go soon since I live in the 'burbs. I hope to get to know'yah!

We are nearly neighbors! We live in King and Queen County, just west of Gloucester...a bit east of Westpoint!

We got our first baby chicks almost three months ago. I've been keeping them cool on hot days by keeping a mist sprayer spraying near them, setting milk jugs full of frozen ice in the run and giving them chilled watermellon as afternoon snacks.
