Hello all!
My hubby and I have dabbled in egg chickens for around 6 years now. We began with Red Sex Links(our best layers and friendliest chickens), and have also had a menagerie of brown egg layers(loved the Buff Orps!) and my pet Americaunas.
We are looking into starting some meat chickens this year a la Joel Salatin, with the chicken tractors. We also are looking into doing pastured chickens for eggs as well, instead of the current coop and run/occasional free range when the garden hasn't just been planted/is producing.
Our current thought is to get Delawares...but that might change overnight, since we haven't actually ordered any yet!
