Once chicks are fully feathered, around 6 weeks of age, they can go into an outdoor coop.

Thanks for the welcomes!...nice to know there are other chicken enthusiasts...so far it's been fun, never realized chickens had such diverse personalities...still hesitant about putting them in a coop and actually leaving them outside...
