Hello from Marine City Michigan

My name is Bill and I purchased my first chicks last Sunday. I bought a variety to start with, 3 California Grey Leghorns, 3 Black Australorps, 2 New Hampshire Reds and 3 Araucanas Ameraucana. My grandson helped my pick these out and get them settled in their new home. I have a 22 acre farm with horses, dogs and cats and now chickens. My wife and I were city folk until two years ago when we purchased this farm so it is now learn as you go. I hope to learn a lot from this site as I have been reading the forums and lots of magazines and books on raising chickens. We have a lot of questions so please bare with us as we move forward.
