Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

We got our chicks 6/9/18. Most seem to be close in age. One (Blue Laced Red Wyandotte) looks about a week older than the rest and one (Silver Laced Wyandotte) looks to be several days younger than the rest.

Here’s the first day we got them. In their box at the farm & garden center.

RLB Wyandotte is Diamond
EE’s are Snuggles and Aviendha
SL Wyandotte is Oreo
Sapphire Gem is Fred
(Partridge?) Cochin is Moonlight.

We brought them outside for a little bit the next day and introduced them to the dogs. Pictured is Nola, who does not want to eat them. Not pictured is Lula, who does want to eat them. If you have any tips of getting her not to want to eat them, advice is welcome! So far we’ve been introducing her on a very short leash and giving her treats and praising her when she doesn’t try to eat them.

It didn’t take long for Diamond to get herself up to the side of their bin. 6/12/18

And then Snuggles. 6/13/18

We brought them out and introduced them to one of our reptiles. Tornado the Russian Tortoise. They didn’t know what to think. 6/16/18

But then Oreo went for a ride.

Today we set them up in the dog kennel. Hopefully little Oreo doesn’t squeeze through the bars. 6/21/18.
