Brea here, and I am new to the chicken world! We will be doing the backyard thing, as we're in town, but we can have up to 6 hens. I have had horses and alpacas before, but chickens are entirely new to me and my husband. We are currently in the research stage, and I'm so glad I came upon this site! Looking forward to learning!

Thank you! I've already hit up the Learning Center quite a bit. There is some very helpful information there, and if I'm not careful, I'll be in front of the computer all night! [IMG]

Being in front of the computer all night sounds right. That's what I do. Welcome to the flock, hope you enjoy Backyard chickens as much as we do.

[IMG] Glad you have joined us.

IMO raising chickens will be so much easier than horses and alpacas. Good luck with the research and your new adventure.
