    Hello all,

My name is Whitney and I have just entered the world of quail...lol.

I wanted chickens but my HOA does not allow them, so I went with quail. I have set them up in our garage and reading this site has made it pretty easy to keep them happy. At the moment I only have 6, but I will be picking up another 6 hens tomorrow.

I am owned by 2 dogs (who so badly want to eat the quail), 3 parrots and many sugar gliders.

My avatar is the love of my life, my congo african grey Otis!

There are so many beautiful chickens pictured here on this site. I swear if I were able to keep chickens in the garage and keep them happy and healthy, I would....lol

I'm sorry that you couldn't have chickens, but at least you can have quail! If you want to talk to other quail people, check out the Quail thread: Quail

    Good luck with your quail!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm sorry you're not able to have chickens. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about quail (never had any), but they sure are cute little birds. Definitely post on our Quail link that Wyandottes7 left you and take advantage of our quail experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your quail.

Do you know BYC has a section on caged birds? Otis may see some of his relatives pictured. Is Otis a talker? Glad you joined the flock.
