Well, actually I joined over a year ago and have just now gotten around to introducing myself.

I am in New Hampshire and I have ducks. One of my coworkers predicted I was going to become a collector. I am trying to avoid that. However, these are the ducks I currently have:

5 Rouen
5 Blue Swedish
2 Black Swedish
2 Buff Orpington
5 Welsh Harlequin
4 Golden 300
2 runners (one buff and white and one blue)
1 Muscovy
1 Silver Appleyard
1 Saxony
5 Grey call
4 pastel call
2 white call
3 penciled/grey pied call
6 black call
1 black bibbed call
1 black magpie call
2 mixed call (brown and white; possible snowy/white mix)

As you can see, there are still many kinds I don't have. So, I am avoiding the "collector" title (in my mind). But, she and my husband don't see it the way I do. ;)

(I will add that my coworker is the one who introduced me to BYC. She has chickens but is limited to the amount she owns because she lives in city limits.)

I do have a general question:

How long, on average, has it taken you to get farm insurance?

Thanks!

Welcome to BYC! Or posting on BYC anyway. :p I'm glad you finally decided to contribute here! :D

I love your breeds and colors! If you haven't already you'll quickly find that we are all enablers here. You're not a collector...just someone who appreciates variety. ;)

Sorry I can't answer your question. Hopefully someone else who knows better will be able to help you out with that soon.

Welcome back, or just welcome. You have lots of ducks, that's okay, I have lots of chickens.

Are you having troubles finding farm insurance? We use American Family, no troubles getting coverage right away.

thank you!

I tried searching my question and I am either doing in correctly or it hasn't been asked. I'll have to start a new thread I guess :)

No, I don't think so. BUT, I asked an agent for it in March and I still don't have a quote. She keeps telling me she is working on it. To me, it has been a long time to be working on it.
