Chirping
Well, actually I joined over a year ago and have just now gotten around to introducing myself.
I am in New Hampshire and I have ducks. One of my coworkers predicted I was going to become a collector. I am trying to avoid that. However, these are the ducks I currently have:
5 Rouen
5 Blue Swedish
2 Black Swedish
2 Buff Orpington
5 Welsh Harlequin
4 Golden 300
2 runners (one buff and white and one blue)
1 Muscovy
1 Silver Appleyard
1 Saxony
5 Grey call
4 pastel call
2 white call
3 penciled/grey pied call
6 black call
1 black bibbed call
1 black magpie call
2 mixed call (brown and white; possible snowy/white mix)
As you can see, there are still many kinds I don't have. So, I am avoiding the "collector" title (in my mind). But, she and my husband don't see it the way I do.
(I will add that my coworker is the one who introduced me to BYC. She has chickens but is limited to the amount she owns because she lives in city limits.)
I do have a general question:
How long, on average, has it taken you to get farm insurance?
Thanks!
