Hello! I am new to the group and am loving it here! So much information and so many kind people willing to share their knowledge. I am new to chickens, we have 6, 5 week old chicks. 3 Red sex links and 3 black sex links. I am in love! We are building our coop over spring break. We have chosen the 'Daisy Coop' as in all my research it seems to have all that my girls will need. We live in northern NY and the winters get pretty cold. I am glad to have found this group. I am sharing a picture of one of my girls so you can all see what made me fall in love, this is my Lucy [IMG]...

G’Day from down under scjcb37 [IMG] Welcome!

As you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]

Thanks for the welcome NorthWolfeMom! Looks like we are both in the same type of climate (brrr, lol). Looking forward to learning a lot here, especially how to keep my girls safe and comfortable through the winter [IMG]
