We are in our first year raising chickens and it has been great! We have one rooster named "Zeus" and 15 hens. It has been a great learning experience for my kids and myself. The early learning curve was a bit steep as we lost 2 hens and a rooster to a fox and one to a raccoon but we've gotten things pretty tight and predator proof now.

BYC was instrumental in our learning process and I look forward to being part of the community!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Sorry about the loss of your three birds. It's always sad to lose one. What kind of chickens do you have?
