We are in our first year raising chickens and it has been great! We have one rooster named "Zeus" and 15 hens. It has been a great learning experience for my kids and myself. The early learning curve was a bit steep as we lost 2 hens and a rooster to a fox and one to a raccoon but we've gotten things pretty tight and predator proof now.
