Big hello from New Zealand!

I'm from Wellington (capital city, North Island, New Zealand) but have recently decided to take a giant step and head down to the South Island of New Zealand and live with my partner on his dairy farm.... Which means that I can get chickens!

As a city girl I am brand new to chickens and I am so relieved to have found this site!

My choice of chicken will the the black orpington.. although I will most likely end up with a few rescue battery hens as well.

I look forward to interacting with everyone on here,
