Hello from northern NY state

Hello! I'm excited to have found this forum, a place where I can ask the chicken questions that I just can't find the answers to anywhere else

. My husband and I bought 17 two day old barred rock chicks this past valentines day. They were sold to us as all females, but it looks like at least one is a male, that's ok though, we wanted a cock too. We are first-time chicken parents so I'll be posting lots of questions, but I'll keep this post as just an intro. Anyway, looking forward to chatting with all the other "chicken people" out there

My uncle lived in Watertown, years ago, before he passes away. I was born in Rochester but have family all over the place up there. DH went to Oswego.
