I am new, yet in a way not new to the whole duck/chicken/goose raising experience. My parents had ducks for a short time while I was growing up. Now I have my own little flock, I find I am always on the forum looking for information to many of my questions. I especially love the pictures.
I have 14 Amerucauna hens, 2 buff orptington ducks, and a white chinese goose. I started my flock in the spring, had a series of unfortunate events that took all of my first chickens from me. I replaced my flock as soon as I was able to replace my coop and run. My sole survivor from those events Daffy is quite the duck, we got her April 24th 2012 and gave us a labor day surprise of eggs. She has been very regular at laying an egg every day. I am looking forward to when my chickens start to lay eggs they are 10 weeks old. I am excited to see the colored eggs, and to have the fresh eggs at my disposal.
Looking forward to help, and learn from everyone.
Tami
