Hello fellow chicken fans!
I am from Ontario Canada and we are just seeing the first signs of an early spring. I am excited to have my new hens (picked up from the hatchery this week) and I have ordered some starters for the beginning of May. I have a couple of years of experience with chickens and am always excited to learn more. I am hoping that I can learn enough to hatch my own eggs this year.
Currently I have Red and Black Sex Links, 12 plus 2 roosters. I am a silkie fan but have never had any since they are not easy to find out here. I am an early childhood educator, a foster parent and a hobby farm enthusiast and since being in isolation, I have had an opportunity to really look at how I would like to grow my little homestead into the hobby farm I've always wanted. So on I go with my dreams and ambitions to hang out more with my family, pets and livestock, living an even more natural life that I had previously been living and bringing more farm and nature into my teachings with our youngest citizens.
