We have added a chicken coop along with 8 chickens of course. My son started this adventure when he asked to bring home 2 chickens from school that they hatched as a project. Now we have 8. As a family we are really enjoying them. We have them as free range when we are home. Otherwise they are in the pen. My son wants to raise them to sell eggs. We have 4 hens and 4 roosters. In the next week or so we plan to visit a local farmer to switch out the roosters for hens. Looking for all kinds of advise... we are new to this! And I am always looking online for info. Thanks!
