New member here just dropping in to say "Hello." I have a backyard flock of 12 hens. 4 Production Pullets, 4 Black Sex Link, and 4 Silver Laced Wyandottes. Got them at a few days old and now they are 4 weeks. I haven't dealt with chickens since I was a kid, but The wife and I decided to keep a small flock. They are doing really well and are healthy. (Thanks to Raising Chickens For Dummies.) It will afford my children the same responsibilities that it did me when I was younger. They will also provide us with fresh eggs. A win win situation in my book.
