I finally joined a few days ago. I have used this site for quite some time. I currently have 8 "older" girls and 2 weeks ago, I got 28 babies! I got my older girls as pullets, but this time I wanted to start with chicks. I got an assortment of buff orpingtons, araucanas, silver laced wyandottes, black & red stars and cuckoo marans. I ordered from McMurray and they included a mystery chick, which I'm not sure what it is. I guess time will tell! They are all doing well and are so funny and interesting to watch.
I grew up on a farm in Iowa, but have been in CA for 35 years. I guess you can take the girl off the farm, but not the farm out of the girl!
