Hey everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I'm from a small town in South Carolina. I have been raising chickens and other animals my whole life and I am always interested in learning new things to give my animals the best life possible. Currently, I have an 11 year old black lab named Sammy. I had him from a puppy and love him so much! I have three baby goats that we are hoping to turn into dairy goats next Spring and lots of chickens - a game rooster and hen that just had six chicks, an Araucana rooster and hen, and two Australorp hens. I look forward to meeting other chicken lovers and learning and sharing with this community.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Australorps are my favorite standard breed; very hardy, calm and gentle, and the best layers of the standard, brown egg laying breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
