I've been lurking here for quite some time, starting back in the spring when I first entertained the thought of getting chickens. As a research junkie, I've scoured these threads for hours, and think you have quite a wonderful community here. Not sure why I waited until today to register?!?!
I have 2 Welsummers (Ginger and Miss Cleo) and 1 Columbian Wyandotte (Phoebe) that will be 8 weeks on Thursday. I know as a mom you're not supposed to say you have a favorite, but I love Phoebe's personality - very friendly, curious, interactive, and kind of a goof.
I'm excited to move them out to their coop in the next couple of weeks, mostly so I can call the guest room the guest room again!
Anyway, very happy to have finally joined, and I'm looking forward to siphoning some knowledge from your brains!
