Hello from Tennessee

Well I'm finally getting chickens.

I won't be getting them until Spring, however my husband has started building the chicken coop. That's my birthday present and my Christmas present will be the chickens. Oh how I can't wait to get them. I'm sure I'll be on this site asking questions since I never raised chickens. When I told my mom I was getting them she reacted as if I was going to have a baby or something. She grew up with chickens so I think when she comes and visits it will make her feel like little girl again. I'll try to get photos of the coop.

I have to warn you Mare! You will never be the same! I started as a perfectly sane women that wanted a few chickens and Guineas for pest control ( I have horses) and eggs, no big deal. Now I am totally obsessed, I am on these forums all the time, I research and read constantly, when I get an egg you would think it was make of gold! And worse of all, I love to just go out in the coop or yard and just sit and watch them for hours! I am totally nuts!
