Hello from the Beautiful (and dry) Texas Hill Country!

  1. I am an "accidental" new chicken mommy, but have wanted to raise chickens for YEARS!

A friend of mine could not take one more of her chicks being "kidnapped" in the middle of the night, so I agreed to adopt the remaining 4 of her Australorps (at least that is what I think they are).

Today my oldest son and his friend will be fortifying the adopted coop until I can get the one coop and run I want built.

I have millions of questions, and have been reading non-stop!

I can't get enough of the information provided on Backyard Chickens!

Happy Chicken Mommy Day to me!!!!!
