Hi everyone. My name is Darlene and I am here to LEARN. I don't know a thing about raising chickens but I am willing to learn.

Hi Darlene, it's nice to have you here!

The best place to start is the Learning Center...there are some really interesting and helpful articles there on all sorts of poultry topics. You can also find out information by using the Search box (upper left, under the logo).

Make yourself at home and feel free to ask questions!

Hi Darlene and welcome to BYC from the tropics also (Kenya, in my case).

You already have some good pointers to begin with from other greeters so I'll just say a big hello and i hope that you enjoy being a member of this great site.
