Hello all, I have just started my backyard flock and have learned much from reading the forums and the learning center articles. This community seems to be very helpful and I look forward to the adventures with my chickens. Right now I have 3 barred rocks and 3 Easter eggers, one of the barred rocks turned out to be a rooster so he will find another home soon or will get big enough to eat and be put on the dinner table. Thanks for all the help and answers already.

They were sold to us from a local feed store as ameraucana's but I was told that they are actually EE's

Yes, your EE's are beautiful. You know you can put photos of your Barred Rocks and others up at "what breed or gender is this." and know what you have now instead of waiting longer.

I did do that and I have gotten mixed responses mostly I have been told it is a roo but one person and I have been told this by someone else that sometimes barred rock hen look more like a rooster but still lay eggs so I'll have to wait to know for sure.

Definitely wait it out. Some pullets are very early to devlope and can fool you into thinking you have a cockerel when in fact the bird is female. :)
