Hello everyone! I am completely new to chickens. Just got my group last May. I have 9 Araucana and one Cornish Slow Grower. All my chickens are pets and members of the family. You can pick them up, pet them, and carry them all over. They love bread and other treats and come running when I carry out anything. They snooze contentedly when I'm out in the yard with my pit bull. They climb all over her and sleep on her where it's warm. She just sits and watches them and keeps things away from them. I just acquired a Rouen duck about a week ago. So that's new to me as well. I'm hoping to learn a bunch from here and love reading the stories!
