Hello! Help sexing my cuckoo marans!

I've joined back yard chickens

to hopefully get some advice on what people think the sex of my newly hatched cuckoo marans chicks are.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You're Cuckoo Marans are too young to sex at this point. I would suggest posting their pics again on our What Breed or Gender is This? section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this after their barred feathers come in. Typically females will have dark barring, males will have light barring. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting pullets.

I'm more than sure you will get lots of help sexing them when they are a little older in the what breed gender section. Sorry but I can't help you on the barring as I've never kept this breed. At 3 weeks their barring should be developed enough to sex them.

Hi and welcome to our flock!

Glad you could join our community! You have some adorable chicks and a beautiful egg. Unfortunately, it is too young to accurately sex your chicks. I suggest posting more photos when they are feathered in more (around 4-6 weeks, and 8 is better) for some good guesses on gender. I'll be happy to help sex them when they get older!
