hello. i am from sarnia. i am planning to have 4 chicks in the spring. my yard is 150ft by 50 ft. i am wondering if anyone has an idea for a small coop on a small budget (i am paying it all by myself on 2 paper routes)

Hey honey, Go to craigslist and put the materials you need under the wanted section.

Some people might have the stuff laying around that you need.

Plan it out before you try to build it.

well, actually, i had already started on one, but it was only a practice one, and i couldn't really get some parts together. i needed to start over anyways. it wouldn't have been very practical or well insulated.

Welcome to BYC On your paper route keep an eye out for wood that people are throwing out. When people redo their kitchens look for small cabinets for nest boxes if you cant build look into a wood dog house and add a door,vent. I had no idea how to build & my Pop told me to build a box with 2x4's close in with plywood making room for a door, vents. draw it out on paper to help visualize it. Good luck & keep us updated
