well I just wanted to join this blog because I've used it to help me on sooo many questions. I really love this community and the environment. Everyone seems so friendly and helpful. I am from California and don't have any Chicken neighbors! [IMG]

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

So glad you have found BYC so helpful and you decided to join!

You might want to stop by the CA thread and chat with some of your neighbors there...https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/565482/california-the-whole-state-thread

There is also a Northern, Central and Southern section to CA if you would rather. Just type in California in the search bar beneath the BYC home page at the top and you will find them there.

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) I would suggest putting a fake egg in each basket (a golf ball will probably work as well) to influence them to lay there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.
