Hello, I am new to BYC. My name is Laurie and I live on the eastern shore of Maryland with my husband and daughter. This is our first time owning chickens, we have 8 12 week old chickens (1 australorp, 1 silver & 1 golden laced wyandotte, 1 buff orphington, 2 buff brahma and 2 cuckoo marans), 15 mallards, 3 cats, 1 dog and want to add goats. The 8 chickens are all supposed to be hens but my husband thinks we have a rooster.

Nice to meet your Laurie, sounds like you have a good thing going. You can post photos of your chicks at "what breed or gender is this," and receive oppinions.
