Hi all.

This is quite a new experience for me.

I've been reading a lot and decided to join today.

My chicks are 5-6 weeks old now and are doing great thanks to the help from you all! I have 3 New Hampshire reds and 2 Orphingtons. Unfortunately one of the reds has a pretty bad scissor beak. She seems to be doing well though so we will have to see how that goes.

What worried me most was the wife not really wanting chickens. Boy has that changed! She has fallen for them and vice versa! LOL

So Hi to all and I'll see you around.

I have a chick right now with scissor beak who is a little younger than yours and is also doing well. Folks with more experienced posted on my thread with great ideas that may come in handy for you as well. Feel free to check it out below-

Welcome!

You might want to say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
