New Hampshire cross (not sure but we think Buff Orpington
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Trying to be more self-sufficient and we are egg eaters so chickens is a natural way to control what we eat
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Camping, off-roading (desert), boating, furniture building and makeovers (my business)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Empty nesters (well, not any more LOL) with one Parson Russell Terrier age 9 (Annie)
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Heard about this site from a great friend in Kansas who has raised chickens for both eggs and meat.
I live in Lakeside, California, in Eastern San Diego County. I own a business building and flipping furniture. My husband is a diesel mechanic and emergency vehicle technician. Married 23 years with one grown daughter.
