I live in SW Arizona. Have had coturnix for about a year now, and just recently acquired 4 chickens. 3 of them turned out to be roosters, but I am lucky that I got my chickens from my boss, who has agreed to swap the roosters for hens. In addition to the 6 quail and 4 chickens, he also incubated a few quail eggs and gave me 2 babies that hatched.
Questions....
when I swap my roosters for hens, I will still have one chicken out of the original 4. How do I introduce the new hens to her? Won't there be bullying for pecking order?
When/how can I introduce the baby quail to the adults? I currently have 2 males who each have 2 females. I was hoping my babies are females so I can just put one on each side of the enclosure so the males would have 3 females.
