I am a backyard chicken enthusiast and have had a chicken or two on and off over the years. I haven't had any for awhile so I recently got 2 new chicken friends from a farmer. 1 red sex link and the other a barred rock. I am also a 2nd grade teacher and we are currently raising 10 quail chicks in our classroom that we hatched a few weeks ago. One or two of those may end up as new additions at home. We live in a suburb so I only keep a few birds at a time. We also have a dog, a turtle, a pair of wild ducks that visit my grandkids' wading pool almost daily and lots of backyard birds in birdhouses around the yard. I was actually searching for an answer to a chicken health question, when I found BYC. I am sure glad you are here!
