Hi, my name's Tyler. I have been searching through chicken care sites for a while, and this is the best one I have found. I don't have any chickens(yet!), mostly because I want to learn all I can before starting anything.

IMO learning and preparing is the best way to start.

You should visit the Learning Center, there's a lot of information there to get you started.

Welcome to BYC [IMG] Glad you joined the flock! It's a great idea to do your research before jumping in, like some of us did… [IMG] [IMG]

The Learning Center is a VERY good places to start: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

You'll find articles on topics like picking a breed, how to house and feed them, hatching eggs, and much much more. Enjoy the site and your future flock!

Nice to meet you Tyler. I agree it's best to learn what you can before getting chickens (or any other animals). Please check out the Learning center.
