I am still in the research part of getting chickens. It is currently illegal in the town I live in (Edmond Oklahoma) however there is a vote to change that later this year. Im a very hopeful that it will pass so I would like to be prepared, as soon as backyard chickens are allowed.

Welcome to BYC. Hope your town passes regulations so you can have your chickens. I'm sure you have seen the forum about laws and regulations under "Raising Backyard Chickens." Hopefully you have/will find some helpful suggestions there to urge your town to see chickens as a positive addition to the backyard. Hope there is a flock in your future!
