    My 5kids are really excited to have chicks but I'm needing to fix a coop and run for them any good cheap ideas? Please help in over my head!!!

    Howdy! Can't help you on your fencing needs but I've bought wire from Lowes and Home Depot.

    Chicken wire should be readily available at most hardware stores but if you want to really keep your birds safe, look for hardware cloth instead. Chicken wire will not protect your chickens from predators, they can tear right through it.

    Poultry wire is made to keep chickens IN, it's useless against determined predators. 1/2" hardware cloth is the gold standard, costs more, lasts much longer, and if properly affixed to a framework, keeps most predators away. A top on your run will also protect from raptors.
