Welcome!! Try to find out if you are allowed chickens first---LOL. Got a friend that can not have chickens or animals other than a dog or cat. He put up a privacy fence---wanted one any way and raised meat rabbits---quietly for several years---his neighbors did not even know and he had 50 to 75 at times. He fed his family of 5 rabbit meat several times a week.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

You might want to stop by our Local Chicken Laws section and see if maybe someone from your area or state can answer this question...

    https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/37/local-chicken-laws-ordinances-and-how-to-change-them

You can also call your local City Hall and they will definitely be able to tell you this.

Stop by your State thread here and they may be able to tell you this too...

Good luck and I do hope you can keep chickens in your area!

Hope you will legally be able to keep chickens. If not, some "well meaning " gossip will be sure to turn you in to animal control. There is at least one
busy body in every neighborhood who exists only to cause others grief. A tall solid privacy fence is good for a lot of things.
