Hello everyone! I am new to raising chickens. My husband has had them for years on a friend's property. We had some in our backyard a few years ago but I wasn't very involved with them other than collecting eggs. We had to re-home them due to our neighbor. We have moved to a new place and my 12 year old and I have started a new flock, is 11 enough to be called a flock? 
We have 4 Easter eggers (that's what the feed supply store called them). They are 2 weeks older than the others. The other seven are 2 polish, 2 silkies, 1 bantam Brahma(?), 2 bantam Cochin. We had 2 japanese but they didn't make it. My daughter was heartbroken.
Anyway, I'm excited to learn and share!
